I see this is just about guys, so hard work usually gets you over the line.
If it was about chicks, it would be about looks vs personality would it not?

Hope you don't teach history.A Talent of silver contained 3,000 shekels , and was equal to 94 3/7 lbs. The Greek talent, however was only 82 1/4 lbs. It was in the form of a circular mass, as the Hebrew name _kikkar_ denotes. A talent of gold was double the weight of a talent of silver.
On topic - I always found a talent for hard work is a good thing to develop, therefore Mr General M I am unable to vote in your poll.

Hard work... No one ever went anywhere on talent alone.

Between these two, talent certainly beats hard work. There's a lot of truth in, "Work smart, not hard", I think. But of course "working smart" implies "working" nonetheless, those who are talented but lazy/unmotivated won't get anything done at all.

That's my plan. We'll see how it goes.Bitte_Kein_Lexus wrote: No one ever went anywhere on talent alone.
I'm allergic to hard work.

Re: What's More Important in Life: Talent or Hard Work?
There's a lot of talented people fail, through laziness. Successful people usually work hard and smart. Obviously if someone is completely inept, then hard work won't be make up for it. And as globalization takes over, people will have to work ever harder if they want a high level of financial or career success.
Re: What's More Important in Life: Talent or Hard Work?
hard work. You can be the most talented person on the block but if you are not willing to work for it you will not get anywhere. Hard work even if you are not overly talented in what you do if you work hard you will win through attrition.
