BugZone: Nothing's perfect...

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Facebook is a chick thing. It's for chicks to do their thing and for guys looking for chicks. Twitter - I've got no idea, but I imagine that is for the kind of people who like nothing better than taking selfies and posting them - oh, perhaps it's the same as Facebook.

I just can't be arsed with that stuff, it's boring.

Ok, just a quick update.... Some amazing things are in the works!!!! I honestly think you will all be blown away by the improvements in the works!! Seems we'll stay online for the most part, but features are coming back, plus a a bunch of extras!!! I really don't think I'm 'overselling' this one bit! Will be the best thing to happen to CEO since we've lauched!! It will be beautiful and shit will just work like it was from the future and brought back by John Conner or something.

That said, we are ACTIVELY in the middle of some major fucking changes! Hell, we might even go offline for random bleeps here and there. So, Joker Poker, until you see a PM from me telling you its safe to write a 7-page reply with 25 pics, be aware that things are being sorted in the background and to be ready for a.....BAM.....shit, where did that post go...or not, it might continue to be smooth like it is right now....

Also spending some serious time and $$$ to figure out and fix what evil fucking monster is still making the good citizens of CEO wait a whole 15 fucking seconds sometimes to make a friggin post!!! I'ts like a demon we carried over from the old site, though the other sluggish problems seem to have all fanished!! Not the end of the word, but it's like the Tell-Tale Heart and I will not be fucking satisfied until it's completely GONE!!! If I have to fly Linus fucking Torvalds to CEO headquarters and lock him in the basement with a his hands super-glued to a couple of NSA super computers until he finds and eliminates that little god awful delay, I WILL!! That's a special separate project at the moment which we're getting someone on to sort out ASAP, so hopefully it's sorted soon/first, and then I can let Linus live his life without me ever in it screaming in his face to fix it now or else I'll take off another fingernail!!!

This will be like Christmas!!!! We have something for LTO, so when you click on a link it will open a new window, and I think we can even get a fun lil thingy for Joker Poker that autosaves a post that you're in the middle of, so that even if the end of the world comes while you're in the middle of a 4-page reply to sailorman about how his post made no fucking sense, it will be waiting for you to submit when you get on the other side. We even might get an, "well, that's not bad" from Richard, as we've been thinking of the young man while choosing a new style for the forum. Fuck, I'm sure there's gonna be cool things that make everyone go, "well damn, I LOVE this feature! I didn't even know it existed in a parallel universe, much less here on CEO!!!!!"

Again, I'm just shocked by what it looks like we'll be able to do here! :dragonchase:

This, or our IT peeps are blowing sunshine up our asses, LoL.

Ok, sorry for being slow with the updates to everyone, but this will be no easy task to pull off like we want it, and even though I don't do ANY of the IT stuff myself (oh yea, a super huge thanks to UT, who's been helping in such crucial ways that I honestly don't think we could have pulled it off without), it's fucking amazing how much of my time this has taken up behind the scenes!!! I really had no idea how many individual things needed attention! Damn. I would have thought we were designing a new space rocket or something. I've learned more new words this week than from the months following the time Orange Dragon said that I absolutely had to Google the word "SEO", LoL. Ok, I said I've "learned" a bunch of new words this week, but more accurately I should say I've "heard and used", as I still have no fucking clue what over half of them mean, I have just been forced to use them with these programmers/Techy peeps.

Again, I think we can expect very little downtime while these crazy cool things are implemented, but I can't promise that. Ok, this was not a cry of VICTORY just yet, but things are looking damn good for the near future, and I think it won't be long at all now!!!!

To reiterate....

The entire forum's software has been updated to the latest and greatest, and now we got a specialist working to bring back ALL the cool stuff we're used to PLUS a bunch of random cool things that once we have you'll be wondering, "DAMN!!! HOW DID WE EVER LIVE WITHOUT THESE THINGS AROUND?!!???"

:friends:  :good: :D  :beer3:

And as ALWAYS, we will be encouraging you ALL to give us feedback on everything, including the familiar features you're used to messing around with, and also the shiny new ones that you might just love, but want to be shown how to use... We have a history of listening to you guys and making changes here and there for you guys if we can, and that won't stop. So, after we announce the success of getting everything pimped out soon, we want you guys to not be shy about telling us what else you would like, and we can go from there.... :good:

Goodnight, and I swear I haven't been smoking anything. :pardon:

I'm just waiting for the old link at the bottom of the page to add photos, cause I've got a post and photo ready to go on this new ''superchick '' backpacker, but cannot post the photo.

Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

^ I tried to type an exclamation mark today but couldn't... Windows 7 Pro (64-bit) advised me that all the exclamation marks on the internet had been used for the day. At first I blamed the embassy...

Posting reply took so long time. :(
