Been before. The eventual loser was coughing up blood and pushed back in while trying to escape. Once it died the owner smashed it against some trees in anger before chucking it in the Mekong.

Maybe they are more serious about it out in the provinces but regardless i hope to avoid those in the future.

its the first thing i ever did in Cambodia.

arrived in koh kong, years ago, first visit here.

moto driver took me across the bridge to guesthouse, after checkin offered to take me on a tour around town, see some waterfalls, beach etc. i said sure

there was a cock fight on, went there first. it was in a big arena with stands, all the local boys gambling like crazy, was an interesting intorduction to the country.

i thought they were banned now adays?

I would not go for any reason. Killing for food is one thing, cruelty for sport is another...and something I won't ever participate in.

I'd go for sure. Kinda jealous as I'd like to check that one off the experience list.

Somethings I do just for the story/experience even though I may not feel 100% right about it. Like the time I tried dog meat. Wasn't craving it, just did it to say I did it, possibly a bit immature and morally vague but "I yam what I yam" to quote Popeye. Funny thing is, my Pops is a Veterinarian, so needless to say I didn't write home about that one.

The one thing I've heard about cock fights though is to make sure you don't cross streams............. I'll get my coat.
