Looking for an apartment to rent in Phnom Penh? We have you covered. This is a good starting point for expats who are in the process of moving to Cambodia to live and work. Finding a villa, condo, flat, or borey to stay in when you arrive is probably one of your top priorities. Check out our listings from the community! And if you have a house or apartment for rent, you're welcome to list it here for free. Kampot, Siem Reap, Battambang, Sihanoukville, and other provinces around Cambodia also have places to rent, but you might have better luck finding them on foot after you arrive, as the largest number of listings are in the capital city of Phnom Penh.

Near Lucky Supermarket? Which one? There's at least four in PP that I can think of.

Ya think?

With the way buildings are constructed in Cambodia with very little subgrade rebar, overhanging floors with little support, no pilings for underground support, no horizontal support and low quality cement, I often wondered about all the weight of a rooftop pool, not to mention all the cheap/heavy red brick used in the walls. Lucky there has never been an earthquake here.

Unless you mean jerrybuilt shacks, every building here has pilings, that's the first thing they construct.

The only pilings being put in by piledriver equipment I have seen in the Kingdom have been on major tall highrise buildings. At this moment on Independence beach in Snooky there are major pile driving machines at work. They are a must as its just a sand foundation/ground and the pictures show around 30 story buildings. I would guess that around 95% to 98% of the buildings here have no piles driven under them, just subgrade concreter slabs for a foundation.
