A little thing to add, I didn't just review the Prius (like a lot of "journalists"), I've owned many of them and have put a huge amount of miles on them over the years (saved me tens of thousands in fuel costs), so I'm very familiar with the car inside and out.
Sad to say, I like the Prius for what it is but it's just not a viable car in Cambodia. It's complicated even for a traditional mechanic like myself to fix. I spent a good deal of time with Prius techs to learn how to do repair my own cars and even then, I sometimes drop off my car to those guys if it needs something.
My "garage" an 09 and 07

Re: Best way to buy a used car?
I went to St. 108 over the weekend (as someone suggested) and was a bit overwhelmed.... I'm going to have to do a bit of homework on some of the car makes and models, as I haven't bought a car in several years.
Also, can anyone suggest a reliable mechanic (foreign preferably) I could use for checking out the car I ultimately choose? What is a fair price for such a mechanical evaluation?
