Introduce Yourself

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

I am beginning to feel that I am not a full man !

I am starting to think you all look at me as someone to be pitied.

I am starting to think I am not a full member of CEO

Am I too dull? too polite? too, well, boring?

I have not experienced MY right of passage

Be honest but gentle in your responses

I had the audacity to question how everyone always kowtowed to KIR and agreed with him or praised his increasingly belligerent attitude. Riddance to that site and a lot of the Nazi like behaviour of the owner. I am going to be coming to Cambodia and would really like to hook up with some people who live there and can offer me some tips about where to hang out and about expat living. Although I am only staying 3 weeks, I have been before and absolutely love the place.
Hi Sammy, never knew that you were banned. Safe trip.
We should go for a beer again. Did you ever make it to Cambodia?

I have decided to sell my house but have so much stuff, I don't know how to get rid of it. Paralyzed by decisions, it seems.

Beer sounds good, do you have my number ? When do you leave for trip ?

You're also the country that harasses Robert Mugabe's wife in public because he's corrupt, yet encourages Rolls Royce to open a showroom in Cambodia.

Nice.

"Gentle" isn't in our vocabulary.
"Life is too important to take seriously."

"Life does not cease to be funny when people die any more than it ceases to be serious when people laugh."

OK.

Don't worry, we will support rampant unchecked capitalism in every form, even if it includes corruption, murder, trafficking etc. as long as you buy expensive stuff to show off what a successful artist you are. I promise not to mention it.

I'll even fall for the 'Jesus was a capitalist' Christian BS.

Welcome! :D

Hehe -- I was watching CNBC last night (don't ask) and their upcoming feature concerned "Self-Made Millionaires" ---- Interesting actually --- but the overall conclusions of the commentators was "Inherited wealth is a myth", "Capitalism does not present entry barriers to the poor (money is cheap to borrow after all) and "Anybody can be rich if you get off your lazy asses and do something".

I kid you not.

Hi everyone,
signed up today having discovered this forum a few weeks ago.

I am not resident in Cambodia as yet but have visited many times in a recreational capacity; before anyone asks, I am not an MD therefore no need to inquire about 'dinner.. then my place for a prostate check?'.
