Re: Bomb blast in Bangkok
Thai's use the word soi for small street/lane
the bombing was on Ploenchit road, if u head out it becomes Sukumvit road and than soi 9 runs off sukumvit
less than 2 kms
edit!!
now seems he was taken to Lumpini park by moto driver, spoke on his phone not in english or thai.

wow ya think<Gen Prayut also said he believed the bombing was a work of more than one person or a movement which involved the payer.
The reason for doing that was still inclusive but he gave more weight to internal affairs
At the same time Royal Thai Police commissioner Pol Gen Somyot Poompunmuong said there were more persons involved in the bombings.
He also indicated internal conflict as the motive saying the bombing was well organized in order to discredit the government.
The bombings were carried out by organized movement so as to intimidate foreign tourists, foreign investors not to come to Thailand.
“They wanted to discredit the government, undermine the economy so as to make foreign investors to lose confidence in the country,” he said.

Interested to know how a "man" is supposed to handle this ?
Bangkok bomb: Two suspects hand themselves into Thai authorities - and insist they are tour guides.
Two men have reportedly handed themselves in to Thai police after being identified as suspects in the Bangkok bombing that killed 20 people.
Details around the two men - who have not been named - are scarce, but the BBC reported the men had insisted that they were tour guides.
The two are believed to be the pair spotted on CCTV footage on Wednesday. However, a Bangkok Post article claimed the two men had already been disregarded by police officers as suspects due to their "girlish" reaction to the bomb.

http://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/asi ... 84828.htmlBANGKOK: Police hunting for the perpetrators of Thailand's deadliest bombing arrested a suspect on Saturday (Aug 29) they said fit the description of a man identified on security cameras as leaving a rucksack at the site of the Aug 17 blast in Bangkok.
Police raided an apartment used by the man in northern Bangkok on Saturday and discovered possible bomb-making materials, national police spokesman Prawut Thavornsiri said.
The suspect "looks like the one we are looking for", he said.
"They also found a lot of materials which can be used to make bombs," Prawut said.
But deputy national police chief General Chaktip Chaijinda told reporters in a live televised broadcast on Saturday afternoon that it was "not yet clear" whether the man now detained is the same as the one in the CCTV images.
"We found dozens of passports inside his room, we have to check which nationalities they belong to," he said on the televised broadcast.
The bomb tore through the crowded Erawan Shrine in Bangkok's commercial heart on Aug 17, killing 20 people, most of them tourists, and wounding scores more.
