Bangkok vs Phnom Penh

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

I heard that there are buses from Boi Pet to Phnom Penh from early morning until 10 am. After that, the only way to get around is by taxi. Is that true? What is price?

Has anyone made the trip from Trat province to Shinoukville? How many bus and boat connections does it take? What are the prices?
taxi to mochit north bus station in bkk
from there get a minivan to trat .
then another mini van to the border .
then a tuk tuk to koh kong then a shared taxi to snooky ville.

store all valuables in a safe and request a receipt .
meth heads and thieves lurk in every damn corner in that dump of a town.
^^Bollocks, SHV is fine mate

there are a lot of locals at the border that will help you along all the way through the border at trat/koh kong for a dollar or 2 tip, will help you through immigration and find the right busses etc, i got a straight through bus ticket from SHV to Pattaya via Trat and it cost $27, i think if you do it alone the cost will be around $30-40

The mods there are very strict

BUT than again destinations is not same as living

Having lived in PP, i would never choose to return there to live

But do find sr would be (for us) the best place to move to in Cambodia
PLUS and its a big plus, she has family with lots of land up there :-)
So you chose her because her relatives have a lot of lands haha. :stir:
