^^Bollocks, SHV is fine matelakesidejunkie wrote:taxi to mochit north bus station in bkksoursop wrote:I always travel by bus in SE Asia because it's cheaper than airplanes. I was wondering about the bus service in Cambodia. I heard that there are buses from Boi Pet to Phnom Penh from early morning until 10 am. After that, the only way to get around is by taxi. Is that true? What is price?
Has anyone made the trip from Trat province to Shinoukville? How many bus and boat connections does it take? What are the prices?
from there get a minivan to trat .
then another mini van to the border .
then a tuk tuk to koh kong then a shared taxi to snooky ville.
store all valuables in a safe and request a receipt .
meth heads and thieves in every damn corner in that dump of a town.
there are a lot of locals at the border that will help you along all the way through the border at trat/koh kong for a dollar or 2 tip, will help you through immigration and find the right busses etc, i got a straight through bus ticket from SHV to Pattaya via Trat and it cost $27, i think if you do it alone the cost will be around $30-40

The mods there are very strict
BUT than again destinations is not same as living
Having lived in PP, i would never choose to return there to live
But do find sr would be (for us) the best place to move to in Cambodia
PLUS and its a big plus, she has family with lots of land up there
