Introduce Yourself

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

qinjingyou wrote:Hi all, I moved to Cambodia last month and I've been just sorta hanging out. I was an english teacher in China for the last ten years. I'd be there yet but the ministry of labor decided I should retire. Didn't feel like retiring just yet so I came here because I can speak Khmer so getting adjusted didn't seem like a lot of trouble. So far it hasn't been. Traffic is better, food is more varied, Khmer are more friendly.
I've been reading this forum for information, so it seemed reasonable to join, even if I don't know much to say yet.
Welcome to the CEO Family brother, good luck :beer3: haha

New online here (at least on this forum). Have yet to move... possible ten year plan

Back in the US now, was living in Melbourne for quite awhile, then went up into Thailand where I stayed several months before ending up with a Chinese Malaysian for past 10 years. Tides change, plans change, life change... New plan, sooooo heading over to Cambodia with no plans, no itinerary... just going to "take a look" put the toes in the water and get a feel.

when you looking at moving out? im guessing you will be doing a bit of exploring, make your own opinions of places and dont listen to anyone else, everyones got their own preferences, some people do have some really good advice though and will help you out a lot if youve never been in the kingdom before,
hope you enjoy your stay :)
