Kampot: Kampot province is implementing the project of building a tourism seaport after the study of socially and environmentally impacts were finished within four years.

Mr. Tith Chantha, the official from the ministry of truism of Cambodia said, before starting the construction of this seaport, the ministry has studied about this project for about 4 to 5 years ago. We will try to make Kampot province from a province that most tourists just pass by to a province that tourists will consider of staying or living. Kampot is one of the provinces that have a lot of potential in tourism, so we have to make it more accessible. Kampot will become from one of the province that has no beach for tourist to visit to a province that has nice beach and sand.

Another useless money scam in Cambodia. The ADB sure gets taken for a lot of expensive rides. Tourists will want to know, "where are the beach's." Answer: They are over in Sihanoukville where the big cruise ships dock. The only use for it would be a container port with a rail spur that cuts off a lot of KM's from offloading in Snooky, will actually be used and that may circumvent the "truck mafia" in Snooky. Get the container trucks off Hwy #4 and they have my vote.
