CEO and Khmer440 reach a GENTLEMEN'S AGREEMENT!

If you have something so weird, strange or off-topic to post and think it doesn't belong in any other forum; you're probably right. Please put all your gormless, half-baked, inane, glaikit ideas in here. This might also be a place where we throw threads that appear elsewhere that don't belong ANYWHERE end up, instead of having to flush them. FORUM RULES STILL APPLY.

There is also a good phrase, 'When you find yourself in a hole, stop digging'

I never met, well not knowingly met KiR. Apparently, talk at the time was how he trotted of to get wed (maybe my visit clashed, I bet he was gutted) but I did have the pleasure to meet many of the other members of the High Command and, to be totally honest (it is a trait I have that will no-doubt get me in trouble sometime) I found them all to be great people.

Playboy, RobW, AndyinAsia etc... spent any an evening chatting over a cold beer or three and I look forward to doing more of the same, on my return.

K440 did seem to get more than a little 'Cliquish' of late but hopefully folk there will rethink, regroup and return in better shape.

As for CEO, it is a brave step to have a forum with such a hands off* approach to moderating but it really seems to be working a treat. That says to me that maybe I was not alone in my thoughts and the silent majority have spoken, through their obvious support for a new and relaxed forum. Where people can talk about their hopes and fears (Floyd) walk about, bending their knees, as they go. Point at distant clouds with a single finger and not feel the need to use all four. Listen to all forum members, irrespective of the level of their well trimmed, nasally contour following, facial hair. Or for that matter not feel the need to dressing only in smart clothing personally designed by Hugo Boss.

No, it is a nice , new world on the forums of Cambodia and I am looking forward to my return.

*Hands Off but that does not mean they are not working very hard behind the scenes to make all this happen. God took seven days to create the world, these two only took a week to create our new world.
Ed, can I just say that as someone who slightly disagreed with you in direct contact on one occasion on the other forum, not in a nasty way but because you were almost too nice, ( if that makes sense ), I am enjoying your posting style here. For me good humour, wit and a healthy measure of sarcasm. If only your consulate had been open 25 years ago when I stopped off in Wigan en-route to Preston Poly.

Hey I met a transvestite the other day from Manchester. Well, I think he was, he had a Wigan address.

Regarding the IP bans over at K440, I think I remember they already got that terribly wrong at one point when they tried to prevent or even catch a notorious "Porn Poster". It's pretty much pointless, really, those who really want to can change their IP address as often as they feel like it, while on the other hand they're locking out people who've done nothing wrong as well.

Or permabanning me on the claim that I am Cambod - because we shared roughly the same IP for a while. That tends to happen when you live in the same building and use the same network!

^ That was hilarious! ! !

In 2014, it's harder to keep the same IP address than it is to change it.

Anyways, I was out with a bunch of CEO/K440 posters last night, and it seems they already cleared up the whole BANNED IP incident. The great Cambod ban of 2014.

People were blaming that on us and saying it was probably part of CEO's strategic plan for world domination, LoL! ! !
