Looks good
Then it all comes down to whether the big boss will back this up.
If so, after the first couple of times, you can probably just wave it at the cops and they'll know what it is.

Frequently Asked Questions
By law, motorcyclists MUST wear an approved helmet when riding on a motorcycle. As a rider or pillion passenger, you should choose a helmet that provides the highest available level of protection, as well as ensure it fits your head and is fastened correctly.
Can I use a helmet I have brought with me from overseas?
No. Helmets purchased from overseas do not comply with Australian Standards. In addition, the Australian Standard for motorcycle helmets is one of the most stringent in the world.
When should I replace my motorcycle helmet?
You need to replace your helmet if it has been involved in a crash. If it's been properly taken care of and hasn't been involved in a crash or another impact, it should be replaced approximately once every five years, or every three years if used regularly. Helmets are made of materials which will deteriorate with time, heat and humidity. Hair oils, body fluids and cosmetics also contribute to helmet degradation. Petroleum-based products present in cleaners, paints, fuels and other common materials may also degrade materials used in many helmets, possibly degrading performance.
Can I buy a helmet online?
It is recommended that you don't buy a helmet online. Good fit is essential to optimal head protection. There is no way to know whether a helmet will fit well based only on your head size. People with the same head size may have different head shapes. Without trying on the helmet, there is no good way to tell.
Do I have to replace my helmet if I have dropped it?
Generally the answer is probably not. Frequently dropping a helmet on the ground, or other hard surfaces may degrade the helmet's performance. However, if the helmet falls to the ground at highway speeds when not being worn, you should be aware that some degradation may have occurred. In general, the real damage comes when the helmet contacts an object with a head inside. It is recommended that if you suspect your helmet may be compromised, then replace it. If the helmet has been involved in a crash while in use, replace it immediately. Never re-use a helmet that has been involved in a crash.
How do I know if a helmet is a good fit for me?
Firstly, you should try a few helmet models to find one that feels most snug and comfortable all the way around the head. To check if the helmet is too big, you should buckle the strap and try to pull the lower back of the helmet forward and then push the front brow area of the helmet backward to see if the helmet will slip off either way. If it does, the helmet is too large. To make sure the helmet is not too small, you should leave the helmet on your head for at least five to ten minutes to see if there is any feeling of pressure point. Some helmet models have exchangeable cheek pads for better comfort. Also have a read of the Helmet fit section.
Is a second hand helmet safe?
Never buy a used helmet or borrow someone else's helmet. Over time the protective foam in helmets will adjust to the contours of a user's head. A used or borrowed helmet may not offer as much protection as a new helmet. It is impossible to tell by visual inspection alone whether or not the helmet has been involved in a crash and whether its protective function is significantly degraded.

Nice respect for journalistic ethics you've got there bro. May I recommend keeping your unethical speculations in your head?Anchor Moy wrote:Is that you commenting as the anonymous foreign guesthouse owner, RB ?

Since the new police chief took over, I do seem to actually have people/cars setting with me at stop lights. I will state there is progress when I see the cops on police bikes pull people over for driving stupid, the cops are out in the rain stopping people driving illegally, I see the cops stop "everyone" on motorcycles and check to see it they have a license, and that means everyone. Locals with no license can pick their bike up at the police station after paying a big fine (and getting a receipt.)
I still see police stopping tourists for no reason, setting under trees at stop lights on sunny days, and watching locals drive stupid and not stopping them. I blame 99% of the accidents on the police being lazy and not enforcing the laws. Once you hit local's(and those week-end/holiday idiots down from Phnom Penh) in the pocket book a couple times, the traffic laws just might start to sink in.
Russian Mafia? Young punk Russia wannabees. I really don't see very much of a drug problem on the streets other than motodops trying to sell me drugs once in awhile and you will get that in just about any city on earth. Drug busts? Give me a break, its all show and some planting of drugs.
They want to do something to attract tourists? Pass laws against having trash in front/behind your property and throwing trash everywhere. Tourists really want to come halfway around the world to look at piles of trash and the rats they attract. Not! Speaking of rats, they seem to be all over the place now.(more than usual.) Is this seasonal or due to more trash in the streets?
