Re: Good reads in English for Cambodians
The little Prince is an English translation of a French philosophical fairytale for both children and adults. It is the story of the search for the meaning of life, so should interest you Samouth. It is very easy to read, but there are different levels of meaning according to your ability to think about the questions asked.
This is it in chapters:

This version is more enjoyable to read IMO:

Definitely recommend.

Samouth when I was growing up I really like Rogue Male (1939) by Geoffrey Household, but as many mentioned the classics might not be suitable.
Somebody's gotta take one for the team so I will.
When I was growing up I am not ashamed to say that I read comic books or "graphic novels" as they call 'em now. I loved books, but really loved my comic books too!
In Japan and Korea they are specifically written for adults too.
Apologies to the uber-educated on the forums.

Nothing wrong with quality comic books - Neil Gaiman's Sandman Series is a very challenging set of work. 2000 A.D, Black Orchid, even things like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (which is nothing like the shitty films) can be awesome too.
Graphic novels are no longer for kids and they're a much more immersive experience for someone who's not entirely confident with the language too.
