She knows pretty much everyone who lives in Koh Tich village, by relation some of them. There's not actually that many people who live there. She was walking alone, at 4am in the morning, that's not a good idea
Yes, in a perfect world, that would be totally safe, but in reality, you have to use common sense, otherwise such situations will arise unfortunately.
I wouldn't recommend that a single girl walk alone in Newcastle, England at 4am in the morning, or anywhere to be honest
