Re: Pain
Dengue fever was the most painful thing in my most recent memory.

Re: Pain
I've had it twice, once in Thailand and once here.
Maybe I was lucky, not really painful either time, in fact the second time I just carried on as usual (almost)
Biggest hassle was the idiot nurses waking me up every four/six hours to take blood, until I refused.

Only two more strains to go and then you're fully immune to dengue I was never hospitalised because I've got too much swag and YOLO. I was lucky enough to contact dengue and a separate bacteria infection simultaneously. I slept a lot, lost 10 kg and had tons of nightmares. Not a very fun experience. If that bacteria infection had been another virus I supposedly wouldn't be typing this today.
Getting tattooed for 9 hours in one sitting with only short breaks was another interesting way to test my pain tolerance.

Well that explains the fact that you're sociopath, I'm just surprised you haven't gone gaga with a semi-auto at the mall yet.John Bingham wrote:Stubbed my toe on a table leg once. It hurt really bad.

Re: Pain
I had 3 strains at once with a friend on remote 1995 koh Tao. I learned only afterward that we had undergone a dengue shock phase (next one is the dreaded hemorrhagic phase). Evacuation was impossible for the first week of our non treatment. I am glad I was young and fit when that happened.BOFH wrote:Only two more strains to go and then you're fully immune to dengue I was never hospitalised because I've got too much swag and YOLO.
