Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. All my dental work is finally done!

Post by rozzieoz »

We originally came to Cambodia last year for dental work - I was missing two teeth at the front and needed a lot of work at the back too. I've since been back twice and finally today it's all finished.

12 crowns, 2 bridges, 4 root canals and $3000 later and I'm done! In Aus my mouth is worth more than 30 grand!! Ridiculous prices over there.

If anyone needs a dentist in Siem Reap my guy is awesome.
My teeth lol and feel fantastic and I HIGHLY recommend my guy. He practices out of Pachem.

And of course we loved Cambodia so much we moved here :)

Damn, that's quite a savings..

A shameless plug for the guy is fine, LoL.

Maybe he'll give me a discount on teeth whitening when I name drop you.

Well damn. I had all these questions for Roz about dentists ready to post and my post got zapped into cyberspace - "Time expired" or something similar. It must be a sign.
I'll get back to you later on that, Roz - just some questions about how you decided on a Cambodian dentist and a couple of other things.

OK Roz. I was wondering how you chose your dentist - recommended by someone or just by internet from Australia ? Like most people I suppose, I am wary of dentists, especially unknown dentists. How did you decide on a dentist in Cambodia ?

My next question is for anybody - how come there are dentists good enough that people would come all the way to Cambodia to get their teeth fixed, but when you have a sore throat you have to go to Thailand ? Slight exaggeration, but think my point is clear - nobody would ever fly to Cambodia for an operation or a health problem. So how come there are good (even great) dentists ?

I actually know some very good Doctors in Siem Reap. They have real degrees from abroad (just like the dentist that Roz) went to and are not part of the 80% of Doctors in the Kingdom that bought their certificates. However, what they do not have is the equipment that the likes of BKK hospital has.
