Introduce Yourself

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Hello CEO,

I’ve finally made the decision to move to Cambodia. This forum has been a cornucopia of knowledge and an oasis of smart and practical banter in an ocean of bullsh*t information on the interwebs about Cambodia.

Yes I am the a**hole with the regrettable username. I now realize it was in bad taste but all I could remember was this skit:

Anyways, I learned from this forum, that I will be arriving during what is the wet season—a term there that puts the synonymous terms in Japan, Korea, and even Thailand to shame. “Kampuchea rain angry…Thai rain sabai” someone told me.

BTW as I’m getting older and have limited mobility, I’ve taken up the hobby of archery. I have collected an array of traditional bows from Turkic horsebows to a 110 lbs Welsh/English longbow. Would these be allowed in the KOW and would it be possible to go field or stump shooting. I’m afraid these expensive bows and arrows would be confiscated in customs. Any archers here?

Anyways, I wanted to say hi to everyone here and to thank everyone for wealth of knowledge in the daily banter and discussions back and forth. Sometimes, the sh*t talking and wit on the forums are enough to make my day.
I realize my username was in bad taste and I do cope with life by having a self-deprecating, twisted sense of humor.
P.S. Why can’t I change my username? Admin. Just a lowercase “R” please.

why not start over with a new user name?
In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

Thanks PR,
I didn't think the admin would allow me to do that, but it's an excellent suggestion. In fact, I shall do that tonight, but knowing me I will probably f*ckup again by choosing a name like "former the rapist". Just kidding.

How about calling yourself the "Consensually Challenged"?

A fellow member sent me the idea to just change the capitalization of your name, and voila, now you're a therapist. :hattip:
