Döner Kebab in SR for $ 2

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. Last time a foreigner with a Khmer girlfriend launched a kebab cart - the kebab was about the size of a postage stamp. $2 for a lamb based meal in Cambodia? It can't include much more than a light shaving of lamb without the owner going bankrupt.

They're obviously trying to pull the wool over our eyes, and then they'll do a runner and go on the lamb.

Most of the kebab carts in Phnom Penh use Pork, I believe.

It's in Siem Reap and they use chicken. Still trying to find out the exact location. In a few days I'll know. In the meantime I would appreciate if somebody in Siem Reap could find that thing, test it and report.

Now I've got the exact location. It's right by the old market on street 11that leads to the Red Piano. It's at the very beginning of street 11 near the river on the left side.

It's not a Doner Kebab if they use chicken. Though, admittedly it's better than nothing.

Actually, it is. Doner Kebab just means roasted meat and there is no reference to lamb....

It has become somewhat of a national dish in Germany where lamb is rarely used.
