Public phones?
Since I couldn't get a straight answer in the other thread, only accused of making mockery, I'll ask it here...
ARE there public phones for if you're out and about and need one? Say when a theif robs you of yours?

Re: Public phones?
yes, but not like at home. It is a woman usually sitting by a sign, can't remember what they looked like right now but once you see one you'll start seeing them around and you use her cell phone she'll will dial and then look up the time and charge you accordingly

They sit under umbrellas. That's it.

At one time , well over 12 years ago , they did install proper pay phone boxes, there used to be one outside and to the feft of the Rising Sun. If i remember rightly you needed a pre-paid card to use them. They dived like German striker during a world cup .

And, as Horace mentioned, there used to be these [pic below] with a prepaid card with Camintel. Don't know if these are still around, but there was a time when few peope had their own (mobile/cell) phone.
I used one of these (back in the day) and honestly it was like trying to make a call from a third world country . Not an enjoyable experience.
Re: Public phones?
One of these boxes is in front of the Camintel office on Ekareach Road in Sihanoukville, Dont know if its working.
More of them are stapled behind their fence (definitely not working).
