End of an Era - Burger King now open on Riverside
Re: End of an Era - Burger King now open on Riverside
Today, I had a burger at Burger King for the first time. I actually don't like it and also way too expensive. The one I had in front of pontoon tastes much better.

I heard that a restaurant owner felt the industry needs some new blood, so Muffburgers is opening.

Cue APLE from stage right; brandishing forms to sign for every expat promising not to be left handed and have detached earlobes...
This nonsense looks like complete non-science to me.

Yes, should have been on Vlad's left-wing paedo thread. Never mind, it's as rational as anything else associated with Burger King - I blame the mad cow.Jaap N. wrote:Burger King science? Exactly right on both points.Samouth wrote:Today, I had a burger at Burger King for the first time. I actually don't like it and also way too expensive. The one I had in front of pontoon tastes much better.

I never eat fast food so Burger King and other multi-national chains coming here does nothing for me but make me rue globalization and the ever-increasing power these major brands have around the world.
Now if we can get a Panera Bread in PP, I will be quite content.

Or real French bread. I wonder if they ever had such a thing in Cambodia. You now, the chewy crisp baguettes. And where has all that excellent street coffee gone? Hardly Carte Noir is it. I guess we have to invent it all again with US fast food chains doing the honors this time ( or copies of them).

Absolutely agree, but I don't see how a fast food chain could possibly change that situation.TheGrinchSR wrote: Honestly, I can't think of single business on the Riverside of sufficient quality for it to be missed at all.
