Sailorman, your use of the word 'antiquated' betrays both your bias and your ignorance.
Judaism is way more 'antiquated' than Islam, do your research.
PS Have you ever heard of the Spanish Inquisition? Lovely dog-fearing Christian people.

Re: Gambia offers to take Rohingya refugees
Why is nothing being done to pressure the Burmese authories ? These people, the Rohingya, should not have to go to other countries since they are Burmese. The buck stops in Burma.
When ethnic cleansing has taken place elsewhere, the world has protested, even gone to war over this. I'm a pacifist but some sanctions are called for at least. And where is Aung San Suu Kyi ?

Can the Rohingya problem be resolved?
"Not until or unless the international community puts pressure on Myanmar to improve the lives of the Rohingya community," Chris Lewa argues, "because ultimately it is only Burma who can solve the problem."
Critics argue these countries have been quietly ignoring the plight of the Rohingyas for years and as a result now find themselves enveloped in a deepening humanitarian crisis.
A series of meetings have now been called in the region to address the crisis, but Myanmar is refusing to attend them.

Too much money for multi nationals to be made in Burma right now. They just started opening the door to the west. Will you slam it in their face?
