If You Have Something Random to Say About Khmer440.com

If you have something so weird, strange or off-topic to post and think it doesn't belong in any other forum; you're probably right. Please put all your gormless, half-baked, inane, glaikit ideas in here. This might also be a place where we throw threads that appear elsewhere that don't belong ANYWHERE end up, instead of having to flush them. FORUM RULES STILL APPLY.

Getting shown up was what set LTO and Violet off on their petty little tirades in the first place.."

and on the back of numerous other comments by Rain Dog Vlad and SCC

I didn't feel I was shown up. Would you elaborate? My getting involved at one point was purely because I CANNOT STAND people who are talk and no action. Anyone who knows me well knows how true this is. I was ill placed to do much of anything but did what I could. When others in country got involved, I let them get on with it. How does that show me up?

When I was contacted by PM by a family member. I put them in touch with SCC. How was that showing me up?

My "petty tirades" were the result of people such as yourself who have distorted views.

Carry on.
:stir:
HaHa :stir: indeed.

I find it hilarious that this backslapper crew, of which she is a part, have agitated for people to be banned --- then celebrated it when scoobz acquiesced to their demands --- yet run over here and seem to hang on our every word.

More bizarrely they reply over there because we have no ability to reply over there . It is childish and absurd. If anyone wants to discuss anything with me --- they know where to find me.

I was critical of JSP/SCC's approach to communications in my previous post. That said, when everyone else was whingeing and pointing fingers over there, JSP/SCC was the ONLY one that actually got off his ass and tried to do something. Violet and LTO made a big show challenging people to do something --- JSP/SCC did ---- and it really embarrassed them --- and we saw the meltdown that took place on that thread as a result.

The self-congratulatory back-slapping on this topic over there has gotten way out of hand. Joon made a big deal about saying she had gone to the hospital and took all sorts of back-slaps for that -- then it turns out she never went inside (because it was raining) and it was CharlesDashwood that went inside

I have not followed the $$$ offers over there in any detail. Hopefully some of the offers are sincere and those people should definitely be complimented.

That said --- do people not realize the guy is in need of a serious brain procedure??? That it would be highly risky to fly in his condition --- and that an airline would be unlikely to take such a passenger due to the in-flight risks??

There is no band-aid solution to the situation as it stands now.

But hey ... lets scrounge together a few hundred and bundle him into MH and toss him in a seat and have him fly unattended on a very long Journey to London.

The guy needs help and needs to get healthy enough to fly home.

Violet -- REALLY want to help? Stop waving imaginary $$$ around, put your pettiness and ego aside and liaise directly with SCC/JSP as he seems to have the most info what is going on. THEN develop a plan which involves him receiving the care he needs, a place for him to recover, and eventually repatriate.

The public posturing over there is enough to make one want to vomit

Cheers,

RD

IMO he needs to be seen by a specialist, preferably western trained, so that he can assess whether he can fly or not. He should have somebody accompany him on the flight. First he needs to be found. If the embassy won't pay for a specialist then i don't know who will. So, it's left to inet research, not the best method, but better than leaving him on the streets etc.
During flight, air pressure and oxygen levels change when the plane reaches high altitudes. The swelling of the brain increases pressure inside the skull. Symptoms of increased intracranial pressure include headache, decreased consciousness and vomiting.
I suspect he may just need an op before he can travel. Royal or SOS would be my first call. Or perhaps a bus to a Thai hospital.
As someone pointed out, beggars can't be choosers.

I suspect he may well have this :

His condition may not be so critical if he's traipsing the streets of Phnom Penh and actually, how does he do that without drawing attention to himself? So, he must have money as a barang can not live on the streets penniless without creating a nuisance.

Her "Rain Dog" thread over there is deleted already. I think my reply to her over here must have embarrassed her and others considerably.

I find it strange that young Master R. Dog fails to see that he cconstantly indulges in many of the things he accuses others of. Could either he or JSP explain why information on the unfortunate Nick is now being posted on this thread ,where it is unlikely many will see it? :hattip:

Ummmmm --- because in a fit of insecurity and appeasing backslappers scobie permabanned us both along with Vlad.

Further proof he has no genuine interest in helping -- as he cut the people most close to the situation off from providing more info on his forum. Apparently to him, it is some sort of a contest about getting the "Inside scoop" and he is more interested in bragging about getting some inside info on Nick's history than he is in helping anyone.

No doubt that when the what looks like the increasingly inevitable finally does happen -- Scoobz will be all over it with a front page article exploiting the story. He loves to chase clickbait and those Google ad-sense dollars.

Anyway, I cannot post there anymore.

There are a lot of lurkers from k440 so they get updated from postings on the "Discretionary" thread in General Chatter.

The thread has gone quiet over there. I suspect a lot of the participants are feeling rather embarrassed by now. That thread was was an embarrassment to all of K440 and really showed the true colors of a few there.

RD

RD/Scc; i really know ur hearts are in the right place BUT
you can lead a horse to water BUT you cant make it drink

Please stop the US VS THEM. concentrate on NIck

With NIck u can pay for his food for a few days, put him u in a gh ( no way would I say allow him to stay at your place)
BUT what next?
He keeps turning down all offers /help to assist. ( i mean even the hospital kicked him out....)

are u willing to pay for the medical treatment you all seem to think he needs? Who told you he needed a head operation? the DR?
getting a police report ( NEEDED for new passport and to be allowed to leave Cambodia)
the passport/ travel doc?
the overstay charge?
the flight back?
Or perhaps a bus to a Thai hospital.
first he needs a passport that he can travel on with a stamp showing when he came into Cambodia and they WILL Make him pay overstay or lock him up..

Who is going to foot the $1,000 and $1,000 to do all this PLUS what your going to put him on a bus to Thailand
what with $$, alone???

guys get real

Richard ... You need to get real. People know what needs to be done. No point in your lecturing people.

THIS is the K440 thread. THIS is the thread for people to vent about the awful behavior and vicious attacks made by people over there. There are a lot of Bad feelings over that thread as it brought some of the worse elements of K440 to light.

There is another thread in General Chatter called "Discretionary" that is about helping Nick.

Please understand the difference between the two before lecturing anyone. Otherwise it just appears you are looking for backslaps from the K440 crowd.

RD
