What is Your Favorite Place in Cambodia?

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

really? cool, we have some land there ( also some down in Kep that is much nicer) that is currently growing rice, and a small house, near the families
we are off the main road about 8 kms before SR city.

no shit! we may be neighbors (or cousins...lol)! the last big(ish) market before SR city you take the road in the market with the pagoda arch (almost as you leave, on the right, heading towards SR city) and go a few km down.

i'll get the village name from the wife when she get back... i can never remember it.

i actually plan on moving out there mostly full time in the next year or two i think. electricity is pretty close to where we are, i have the family getting me quotes on running it all the way in, and decent 3g reaches the house fine now.

if i can get electric in a few updates to my house there and i'll be able to aircon 1 room... making it livable ;-)

no idea what that means either... lol.

we have a generator and solar, but still about 1km away from the nearest EDC power lines.
we have well water, pumped into the roof tanks by the generator when needed, rice chickens, geese, ducks, dogs, cows, pigs, a fish farm, a half acre veg garden, methane reclamation system, composting system... and a pet pigeon. and handful of kids running around as well.

what's interesting about all of that... only the generator was my idea. the rest was the idea of the khmer family members.

Kampong Cham, no contest.

Western side of the river, over the bridge, turn right, about 3 km downstream.

Sophie's.
You are on the right path to be nominated for the CEO Ladies Creep Award.

Beautiful scenery, OD!
The fact that you know that makes you runner up.
