Re: Sihanoukville: A French guy arrested for overstaying
Wow, another one and this time sentenced to prison for 6 months. Surely not for a one month overstay again? 04-07-2015 - 07-05-2015 when he went to court. If there is another story to all these deportations, why aren't we hearing it?CEOCambodiaNews wrote:Sihanoukville police continues to arrest foreigner who overstayed in Cambodia

Spoiler:
Can we get a better translation?
"According to police officials above the foreigner, was Sihanouk Provincial Court verdict No. 16, dated 07-05-2015 convicted lasts 06 months, carried out in a prison term of 3 months and 18 days remaining from that suspension of normal and not allowed to stay in the Kingdom for five years and issued a directive to release No. 663 transparency gloves / 2015 dated 12 May 2015, the current Samy groups it has reached the General Department of Immigration last week and expelled from Cambodia at 4.30 pm the same day."
I mean, what's happening? Are they deporting anyone committing a crime now?

Maybe crime + overstay = deportation.

Maybe raped the police captain while he was drunk in charge of a hammock? Maybe maybe... Where do they get these reporters?General Mackevili wrote:Maybe crime + overstay = deportation.
It's like saying Man with head smashed open, then giving no reason.
Knowing Cambodia , he probably had something nicked from his hotel room and tried to get some justice from the Cambodians, who got annoyed and started slapping him, he then slapped them back, the police were called and he was locked up for 6 months . Meanwhile his visa lapses and they get him for an overstay, so they can throw this troublesome crime victim out of the country. I mean, how the F dare he report the theft? he should just take it up the arsehole like everyone else.

Re: Sihanoukville: A French guy arrested for overstaying
It seems pretty reasonable to deport any convicted criminals doesn't it? If you don't have citizenship then chucking you out should prevent further offences. There are many countries where his ban would have been permanent rather than just 5 years...

I like how you make up a story that confirms your own prejudices about Cambodians, then get outraged at it like it's been confirmed true rather than pulled out of your ass just a couple sentences previous. Classic.juansweetpotato wrote:Maybe raped the police captain while he was drunk in charge of a hammock? Maybe maybe... That is what he does. He can read the most basic news report and then dream up an entirely different series of events and then he posts that his dreamed up version "probably happened." There's a difference between "reading between the lines" (which we all do) and "weirdo farfetched conspiracy theorist speculation."MekongMouse wrote: I like how you make up a story that confirms your own prejudices about Cambodians, then get outraged at it like it's been confirmed true rather than pulled out of your ass just a couple sentences previous.
