I actually am surprised somehow. I have wanted to support that forum still and avoid the silly bashing of it over here, but that KIR guy seems insistent on single-handedly destroying it. I have often been critical of Gavinmac for his elitist posting style and some of the others there as well, but I actually feel a bit sorry for them now. I think all the mods there see some of the problems and genuinely want to fix them. At a time like this you should WANT people emotively discussing the future of the forum.

One guy is ruining it -- and devaluing it at well (at the same time he is trying to sell it). Its just nuts.

If I go to a new place and hear somebody speak dutch or swedish, I'd probably move on to another restaurant or at least avoid exposure, not because of any bad feelings towards my countrymen, but I left home to meet new people and see new places.

Seemed Scobie and Gavin were both genuinely welcoming criticism and taking it on the chin, and definitely weren't talking shit to people who gave feedback, and KiR ended it on bitter note before locking it.

He locked it because the conversation had turned to how to make
K440 a better place. It was only supposed to be a thread about making
fun of CEO. But NOOOOO, some posters wanted a positive change.
Where have I heard of this damn "Change" chant ?

It was a missed opportunity to rally all the loyal K440'ers to post more
and better and work together in a positive attitude to make it the
best forum ever. Any of the mods or admin could have said, Look,
this is the NEW DEAL, NONE of you are inappropriate, and NONE of
you are boring (except the guy with that as his signature), stay here
at K440 and help us through this rough patch. We will lead, but you
are not following, WE GO FORWARD TOGETHER. We have a plan,
and each of you are important in that plan. Over the next few weeks
we will make some changes that you will like. I'm talking about.......
