I'm a little insane for marrying Stroppychops but I love him... I wouldn't say I was batshit crazy but at least a little crazy to sell all of your possessions and move to Cambodia to provide free education! And I have met the General and OD.

I'd definitely day that on average, expat women are more sane/normal than men. Most of the women I've met/worked with were far saner than many of the weirdo men I've met. Then again, there are more men (and yes, I know more men) so it might not be statistically accurate. And I've also met a few nutty western women.

Women tend to be more reserved than men. So, the people you usually consider to be bat shit insane are men doing something stupid/whilst drunk/getting loud/angry. Women show their wacky side much more in an interpersonal relationship, like as a friend or girlfriend. I have seen my share of barang gone wild in Cambodia, and heard stories, but these were all men. If you're going to get crazy from a woman in Cambodia, you're probably too close to not get crazy thrust onto you....right in the middle of something nuts. I used to have a girlfriend in another Asian country who used to beat me up, slap me, punch me in the face in public and around people. I put up with it because she was drunk. She once caught me with a haymaker in the eye for stepping on her fake designer shoes.
