Most have not been vacinated, have been eating shit etc - no matter how cute they seem.
If you get bitten by a dog, or a cat, bat or monkey in Cambodia - go get some rabies shots. It could save your life. As someone said, once the symptoms start, it's probably too late. You will probably also need to take antibiotics for any infection.
All well JP ?
He had the first of five shots today. I think he's okay, but there is no way I can justify doing nothing - the next time he got a fever I'd be beside myself. The bite broke his skin, but certainly nothing deep. Weird how these things happen, but that night the wife got feverish, not the son, and she spent last night getting lied to at a Khmer hospital which I pulled her out of this morning. She's now spending the night at Mercy Clinic getting treated and really lucky that she didn't get unnecessary surgery last night. I'm a bit too knackered to write about it ATM.
Cheers.

Wow, that's harsh about the missus, JP - good move getting a second opinion from Mercy Clinic, that's where we go for GP treatment.Joker Poker wrote:Anchor Moy wrote:Met a backpacker at Otres Beach last year - his lip and chin were stitched up and he was having a series of rabies shots. Re: Bitten by a dog in Cambodia?
I have been to the Philippines many times and there are often signs displayed prominently that "Rabies Can Kill'. When I travel I always take my silver colloid kit. It stops illness in its tracks. It can even cure the ebola virus but you won't get confirmation from the FDA. They recently confiscated a shipment to Africa, AFTER it had arrived. In researching this topic, re rabies, I found an interesting link: http://www.thesilveredge.com/new-silver ... SidXeafcqV. Most interesting tidbit was a case where a guy's dog was bitten by a rabid skunk...he treated the dog with silver colloid. The skunk died but the dog survived.
Interesting articles guys. I am looking to retire to Cambodia so all this chatter is fascinating. Came back from Vietnam in March very unimpressed. Everything was supposed to be cheap! In Nha Trang I was quoted $100 a kilo for crayfish/lobster. YouTube will provide those interested in making their own colloidal silver. All the proof one needs is also on YouTube.

It is bad luck to be superstitious!

↑ interesting first post - aren't colloidal silver kits used to protect against vampires?

Rabies will kill you. If you act when you've got symptoms then you've signed up for a very painful last experience. Don't take chances, get those shots. All 5 of them, spread out throughout a month or whatever. Google it and make sure to get it right. Dogs can be rabid without displaying apparent symptoms.
