Andrew Drummond and StickmanBangkok.com vs ThaiVisa.com
What's going on over there? I thought everyone in Thailand got along just fine, LoL. Seems Andrew Drummond and Stickman Bangkok have a bone to pick with the owner(s) of ThaiVisa:
From Andrew Drummond today:
George Anderssen the boss of ThaiVisa.com, the largest and most controversial English language web forum in Thailand is not really George Anderssen but a ‘cone-headed’ and somewhat dodgy visa salesman called Lars Janson (sic), it’s now being claimed.
The revelation is made on the website StickmanBangkok and may account for the reason we have found ThaiVisa linked with the same lawyers, addresses and ‘gofers’ as are Bangkok’s fraudsters doing boiler room trading – and indeed why the site carries adverts for some definitely dodgy businesses.
Stickman relates a tale how he went with a friend of his went to see Lars Janson many years ago when he was running Express Service Sabai Company, Ltd., out of a small office in Sukhumvit.
The friend successfully got a visa on his passport which had successfully taken a trip to Malaysian by itself and carried on doing so.......

Can't we all just get along?

No, screw getting along, I'm with Stick and Drummond. ThaiVisa has always been shady and rumors about the ownership are nothing new.

I read both articles, and I have to wonder how connected the real estate guy is to sue George Anderssen?

LoL. I don't see anything really shady about his visa dealings. People knew their visa was being extended under the table. Places in Cambodia do it and it's been great for people who needed the service.MekongMouse wrote:No, screw getting along,

I was mostly referring to the forum part of the website. They moderate heavily based on advertiser preferences and hidden agendas. It doesn't even feel like you're reading an actual forum sometimes, just countless shills and then a sea of banned posters.General Mackevili wrote:LoL. It is pretty much the worst forum I've ever used.

Ah, ok. I haven't spent enough time on there to really get a feel for the place. I recall being surprised to get a very mild curse word censored over there once, LoL.MekongMouse wrote:I was mostly referring to the forum part of the website.
