Jesus Christ that RGX site looks extremely amateurish / shoddy. If feels like, once it starts getting some volume, some clueless son of an Okhna is gonna put a couple of millions in there and poof it's gonna get stolen off the exchange because someone left the "cold wallet" passwords in a public google document, or something.
Yes. That is my understanding.Nobby Stiles wrote: ↑Thu Jan 11, 2024 6:19 pm
Interesting I guess this now means that trading in cryptocurrencies is legal here now?
Yes, but as I mentioned in another thread recently: why not just go with one of the major exchanges and avoid the risk of dealing with something that looks like it was put together by an intern in exchange for few kilograms of durian.Nobby Stiles wrote: ↑Thu Jan 11, 2024 6:19 pm This could be a nice dollar$ on/off ramp if the banks here comply unlike most in the Uk.

It was always legal to trade in crypto as an individual, it's illegal for banks to deal with it.aseriesoftubes wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2024 2:29 pm Jesus Christ that RGX site looks extremely amateurish / shoddy. The on/off ramp for RGX is using money exchange offices with cash / USDT, meaning there should be plenty of places that will take your USDT and give you cash in hand whether it's sent from RGX or some anonymous wallet.
That being said I haven't tried.

Re: Anyone still in Crypto?
I read yesterday that Kennedy has all his wealth in #BTC and wants the 200,000 BTC USA now holds to become part of the federal reserve. Further, he wants them to buy up 500 coins every single day till the USA owns 4 million coins. If so its to the moon as theres only 21 million coins possible 90% have been already mined and 10% lost.
https://cointelegraph.com/news/robert-k ... y-strategyKennedy would sign an order requiring the US Justice Department and US Marshalls to transfer the 204,000 Bitcoin BTC (@ $93,828 now) held by the US to the Federal Reserve to be held as a “strategic asset,” he said. Furthermore, Kennedy said he would also order the Treasury Department to purchase 500 Bitcoin daily until the reserve reaches at least four million BTC.

It's very possible. There is still Trump's very odd quip about paying off the US $35T debt in crypto. Even if the US were to create its own coin for this purpose, they will still need some kind of reserve to use if they want to build a deep, liquid market. I wouldn't discount that this is being seriously discussed. But my gut tells me they also have access to another 1+ million BTC from the Satoshi genesis wallet(s), so it might not require as much as you think.David Gordon wrote: ↑Wed Nov 20, 2024 8:22 pm I read yesterday that Kennedy has all his wealth in #BTC and wants the 200,000 BTC USA now holds to become part of the federal reserve.
