Kites

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. Kites

Post by chiltern »

Going to spend new year in my gf village and would like to take a decent kite for the kids (and adults) to play with. Years ago I had one called a Peter Powell Stunter just wondering if there is anything simular in Phnom Penh and if so where?

Thanks

In all my years I've never been. But there is *actually* a kite museum in Phnom Penh http://www.subvision.net/sky/planetkite ... museum.htm
And here's a digitalised book: "Khmer Kites" http://www.subvision.net/sky/planetkite ... tebook.htm
...no idea where to buy a kite however.

I'd check those "2500" riel stores. Also look around Aeon Mall. Easy as it's all in 1 AC'd place.
I'll give ya 500 Riel for it...
