Hi all,

I've been watching Netflix for years on my iPhone using VPN via wifi. I'm considering buying the Apple TV unit and connecting it to the monitor in my apartment using HDMI. I don't have a PC or a modem, I just jump on the strongest wifi signal in the building, log in my VPN and I'm good to go. My question is; does Apple TV support VPN allowing access to Netflix?

Service costs but it's a good price, I have them and works like a charm. I'm watching Netflix and Hulu in the Middle East now.

Thanks for the tip. As my 3rd gen Apple TV doesn't support VPN, a DNS subscription may come in handy. For now, I have a work around-connect with VPN on the iPhone, start Apple TV, go to netflix on the iPhone and start the movie. Using the AirPlay option on the iPhone, the movie is buffered on the TV screen and I'm good to go. Airplay is available on the iPhone 4S or later.

How is DNS working out for you-any problems?

Ya you'd have to setup a router with built in vpn, or do the DNS. But the apples tv will do native DNS switching.
