Terrorist attack in Tunisia

Yeah, that place out 'there'. Anything not really Cambodia related should go here.

Terrorist attack in Tunisia

Post by Soi Dog »

19 killed so far and hostages taken, some in the National Museum which is part of the Parliament complex. I'd think twice about going to Egypt too. Such high-profile attacks against tourists are not unheard of there.

Where's Gonk these days, did he go to Egypt? What with the embassy closing in Riyadh (way to go, 'Murica) and now this in Egypt, maybe he should just stay home and hide under the bed.

Just got this from my mom a few hours ago, along with links with warnings about Ethiopia, LoL.

It's a lazy trip. Just staying in the Bole area of Addis Ababa the whole time.

Got a few people I have plans to meet up with there, which randomly includes one of my best friend's cousin and maybe their fam. I know my friend from my hometown, but a lot of his family is still in Ethiopia.

And now to TOTALLY derail Soi Dog's thread, I just bought a jacket tonight (because Addis is cold as hell at night) and the fuckers left the security tag on it! ! After many failed attempts of taking it off myself, I know realize I'll have to go back to the mall tomorrow to get those bastards to take it off! I hope I haven't damaged it too much for them to be able to remove it. Image

Mate, 'bought' has a different meaning there, it means 'exchanged for cash'. I wouldn't take it back now as 'stoned' isn't what you're used to either.

Haha, this was from one of those fancy malls with more name brands than most cities in the States have. I even picked up a pair of Hush Puppies, LoL.

Spoiler:
And yes, Forever 21 is a chick's store, but I thought I'd get a little something for one of my friends in Addis. Image Image
