Is Cambodia still using the 50 dollar bill?

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

For bad notes, there is a trick: Go to NAGA and they have a machine to top up your casino-card, that machine accepts almost any bill, even real bad-ones. Put it on your card, play for some dollars on the roulette, and let you pay out again. I have some 100-notes and a 50-one ( from 1983) and want to try it also, but forget them home last year, if anyone goes to the US and wants them, its 250 US$ I have !!
Are you saying you will give 250 dollars? Im in usa now and of course interested
I will be in september back in PP and if someone can take the old 250 dollars to the US and change them to newer-ones, I asked here already 2 years before and I understood thats the only way to change old dollars (they are from 1983 and in good shape). But i will try the trick at NAGA first, that was a tip i get from some wellknown bar-owner on street 51 last year.
If you get constipated, like I do, why not ram those US bills up your rectum, like I do? Works for me.
You shove old, well-circulated, filthy paper money up your rectum?
What else do you put up there?

I am still trying to figure out the connection between 50 dollar bills and constipation. What am I missing?

If you suffer from constipation, I envy you. The time I spent in Cambodia was fraught with diarrhea every single day.

Only on this board can we go from a perfectly legitimate question such as 'Do they accept $50 bills here" to discussing constipation and diarrhoea before the end of just the second page.

ATM won't take them as a deposit even though they are in perfect condition (except in a slight curve from being in the wallet). Was wondering if this is one of the bills they're not using any more?
Many machines only give out 100$ these days, not sure if they also restrict the intake to 100$ bills. 50$ bills are still valid, no doubt.

Add to that: feed any re-circulation machine in Cambodia 100 crisp new 100$ notes and it will by default refuse 20-50% of them. Feeding them again, and again, and again.... will gradually solve the problem.
