It's all well-known movies from quite some time ago ^^

Come on guys...What's the point of having so many ways of getting new movies to watch ( 1$ dvd shops, netflix etc, pirate bay etc) if you keep hanging on Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Steven's Seagall whole body of art ?

It's like believing classics were made only more than 30 years ago, 50 years for some, and nothing happened since ^^

My favourites would be very hard to trim down to a short list.

The Cruel Sea and
The Enemy below
Being matched in recent times by Greyhound

Actually, most films with Tom Hanks in would make the cut.
And Jimmy Stewart. Strategic Air Command not being his best, but that B36!
(One of) My favourite Jimmy Stewart movies being Harvey.

The Heat of the Night.

Shawshank, Bladerunner, The Martian.

633 squadron
Any Peter Sellars Pink Panther movie. (But never a Steve Martin version)

Roxanne.

David Niven; A matter of Life and Death

The list goes on…

So many of the movies made in the last 5 years or so have been heavily infected with The MESSAGE that even an average movie from 15 years ago looks way better tbh

The MESSAGE
Sure, that's a big chunk of it.
But not all, is it ?

I would supplement my list with No Country for Old Men and Harry Dean Stanton's masterpiece Lucky.

Streets of Shame also, just because it's super old and shot in a place I used to frequent ... but a very sound Japanese Classic. It's about hookers, so most of you would likely like it.

I heard this same song played after some good movie 🎥 🍿.

Song was shame on you ..

Can’t remember the name of it.
About some guy killing all his girlfriends . Then he died with the last one .
I think he died in a fire at the end ..

Oh, so any random black & white geisha story or just any movie at this point with decaying addicted hookers is good enough to entertain us because... it's still better than a sexdoll story for us alledged lonely hearts, or something ?

I suspect now your favorite movie might be Forrest Gump, or maybe I Am Sam, because it's always good to look up to an inspiring role model when science cannot help you ^^
