Israel and Palestinian Conflict

Yeah, that place out 'there'. Anything not really Cambodia related should go here.

It really depends on who has the bigger stick. In our current scenario, it is about who is best placed to hide submarines with nukes in various locations and be able to deploy them on any enemy within minutes. This is a technology shared between very few instances. The world is essentially run by defense contractors, not governments, and especially not hippies and derelicts out of Phuket.

Maybe they should not give two hours' notice of the attack next time? It makes me think this was all a face-saving exercise by Iran after Israel blew up part of their Embassy in Syria and killed one of their military leaders. That's quite a 'fuck-you' in diplomatic terms.

I don't think Tehran wants a full-blown Middle East war, they will just get destroyed and their people might finally rise up and shoot all of those malevolent old bastards with the big grey beards.

Iran launched more than 300 drones and missiles at Israel on Saturday night, in the Islamic Republic’s first ever direct attack on the Jewish state, bringing a years-long shadow war into the open and threatening to draw the region into a broader conflagration.

Israel, with the help of key western allies including the US, UK and Jordan, claimed to have intercepted some 99% of the launches during the mass strike, but added that some ballistic missiles had reached Israel, damaging the key Nevatim air base in southern Israel which remained operational.
Totally, Iran gave the US and Israel notice of the drone attavk and sent slow moving ones that could be easily shot down.

Purely for internal consumption in Iran.
Sending 300 ‘slow moving’ drones to be destroyed?

That many is designed to saturate missile defenses, not just a token gesture.

At least one got through and hit an airbase, high value target.

Credit the success for Iron Dome and the next generation of Israeli defenses for so few getting through.
The tactic of sending slow-moving, and cheap, drones to exhaust the capacity of the missile defence system, and then send high-speed cruise missiles into the void, is practiced by Russia against the limited, imported, Patriot air defences of Ukraine.

However, Israel makes much of its own systems including short, medium and long-range systems. Other systems are joint ventures with the US. They have no shortages and the US will ALWAYS supply them as they are purely defensive systems.

Whilst none of the drones or the cruise missiles got through, a few of the ballistic missiles did get through - so there are gaps. And ballistic missiles are heavy payload, long range and harder to shoot down. These are just the sort of delivery systems you would mount something very nasty on. Trident is a ballistic missile system, so are ICBM's.

So, now Iran knows it can hit Israel with ballistic missiles. And so does Israel. The thermostat just went up a couple of degrees.
Israel bombed Iran's embassy, forcing them to respond. Iran did respond but gave plenty of notice most likely knowing full well no real harm would be done - then they said that's it, the matter is settled. You'd think the matter would be settled.

But Israel is now saying they're going to retaliate. I'm starting to wonder if Netanyahu is actively hoping to escalate things for his own reasons, I have no beef with Israel but if they end up getting the shit bombed out of them it'll be hard to sympathize with them. When you keep attacking a country that WILL retaliate, what do they think is going to happen?

If the Israelis bombed the fuck out of those Iranian drone factories they'd be doing themselves and Ukraine a favor. Unfortunately they aren't all that high-tech so production could easily be moved elsewhere.

I have purchased 10,000 Iranian flags to sell at the upcoming 'Save Iran, Stop the War!' protests in London over the next 6 months. I can mail to Phuket and Australasia should anyone need one to add to their Hamas and Houthi flag collections.

Protestors screaming ‘Death to America, Death to Israel’, shutting down the Golden Gate Bridge and NYC streets, as a way of highlighting the plight of those in Gaza.

This is going to convince the masses of undecideds to the righteousness of their cause?

Why do the Palestinians keep choosing these kinds of tactics? Rushing an El Al flight in Russia to kill Jews, for example, to gather international sympathy?

Hamas firing mortars at US troops trying to build a pier to deliver aid, and now this revelation from Fatah.
Hamas kills aid workers to manufacture Gaza food crisis, Fatah charges
A Fatah TV anchor reported that Hamas had attacked aid workers, stolen food and water and caused food prices to skyrocket in the Gaza Strip.

The Palestinian political faction Fatah charged on air that Hamas had deliberately killed aid workers, stolen aid and manufactured a food crisis in Gaza, according to a Palestinian Media Watch (PMW) investigation published on Sunday.

A Fatah TV anchor reported that Hamas had attacked aid workers, stolen food and water and caused food prices to skyrocket in the Gaza Strip – which PMW said constituted a triple crime.

“Hamas’ persecution of any party who is a source for distributing the [humanitarian] aid or securing it began from the start of the war, as Hamas persecuted well-known figures and teams of volunteers on the ground in mid-October [2023],” the anchor said. ”It attacked them and killed some of them for two reasons: Firstly, to prevent any activity by any [other] party in the Gaza Strip; and secondly, to ensure Hamas control over the aid and its storage, which of course leads to these crazy and unreal prices that no one can pay in the shadow of this destruction.

“After the occupation bombed storehouses controlled by Hamas, the accumulation of tons of various food and aid products that Hamas had taken exclusivity over became clear, at a time when the Gaza Strip is suffering from hunger.”

But all this interferes with the politically correct narrative. And politically correct social justice is the goal of western media.

Hamas is a good angel saving the Palestinian people.

Israel is a bad, blood thirsty son of the devil fighting for America, the greatest evil in the world.

There can only be real peace when the devil disappears from the world.

The Western world hating itself at its finest.

It's crazy how many people have jumped on this bandwagon and are now basically supporting Islamic fundamentalists. Not a word to say about Putin's invasion of Ukraine, the main threat we face. No clue how many problems we are going to face if we keep getting manipulated by enemies. Deluded idiots.

Nobody has forgotten Ukraine and Israel invasion

BUT they have for most, forgotten ( ignored) the war in Burma going on over 3 years, ( As of March 2023, 17.6 million people in Myanmar required humanitarian assistance, while 1.6 million were internally displaced, and over 55,000 civilian buildings had been destroyed. UNOCHA said that over 40,000 people had fled into neighboring countries, such as Bangladesh, India and Thailand)

Or the 1 year war in Sudan> (As of 21 March, over 6.5 million were internally displaced and more than two million others had fled the country as refugees)

black/brown lives dont matter ;-(

War, what is it good for?
Absolutely Nothing
