Happy Songkran 2024
In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

Already been drenched and covered in face paint and that was Mai Khao where it's even quieter than usual
If you enjoy noise pollution and obnoxious driving practices, Phnom Penh is the place for you!
This.

I have to admit, that I like it in Thailand, where the water war is lived out at daytime. Unfortunately there are 2 main differences here in Cambodia, which make it quite annoying:
1) The use of that powder
2) not stopping to throw water (and powder) after dusk

Driving on Cambodian roads is just like playing a classic arcade top scroller. The only difference is a force feedback controller, the limitation to only one life and the inability to restart, once Game Over

It's fun again, as always. People get splashed and smashed.
They should have this every month, it's not like it would hurt productivity in Thailand as there's none anyway. 555

True about the dusk curfew, not sure about the white powder, but very few barangs chucking water in Cambodia, and the Khmer don't tend to target barangs unless they look like they want it. That is a major plus for Cambodia.ressl wrote: ↑Sat Apr 13, 2024 9:02 pm I have to admit, that I like it in Thailand, where the water war is lived out at daytime. Re: Happy Songkran 2024
Wealthy Khmer loved New Year in PP. They didn't go to Wat Phnom because they needed tp cruise around in their new Ford Raptors armed with 100 liter water tanks and the very latest in powerful water guns and eye protection. The plebs three to a moto with cheap guns that they had to stop to refill didn't stand a chance. Literally every other car on Riverside was an expensive pickiup.
