What books are you reading?

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Always wearing a nice suit, think he was already between 50 and sixty at that time.
Interesting story. I enjoyed Literary Outlaw more than any of his novels. He was born in 1914 though so would have been around 70 when you met him.

Going Infinite - Michael Lewis

This is the story of Sam Bankman Fried and how he got to where he ended up. The book concludes in 2023 when SBF was first arrested. You know the rest of the story.

I still can't figure out how someone of such high intelligence, but with zero emotional intelligence, can have acted so stupidly. But 25 years? That seems to be a simple way to neatly pile all the blame on one person, whereas there are many more actors in this tragedy - co-workers, lawyers, regulators and, most notably, CZ of Binance.

It's not a long long book, but Lewis weaves the story nicely in a succinct way.
