Re: Absinthe
I'm guessing Mean Sok would have it, as their selection is very wide, recommended to me here:

(I think the one most places carry is a bottle shelf one, with an old man on the front. Maybe others available.)

Re: Absinthe
Thanks to both of you. Will check today. I've never had Absinthe before, have you? Anxious to know what the fuss is all about.
Re: Absinthe
"Absinthe is made by redistilling neutral alcohol with botanicals—the 'holy trinity' is wormwood, anise, and fennel—to create a concentrated, high-proof spirit."
"In most of the European Union, absinthe may be sold as long as it stays at 35mg limit of thujone." (thujone comes from the wormwood)
If you have a selection to choose from, you want to be sure that you're getting absinthe from Spain or Portugal where there are no regulations like this.
There used to be a bar in PP that was called Absinthe-something, carried all kinds of them and also had the traditional absinthe fountain. Though I imagine they had to import their inventory on their own.
Best of luck to ya!

Re: Absinthe
I am a regular Ricard-drinker (what a little similar to absinth) and i got drunk from absinth 1 time in my life (in 2020 full-covid-lockdown in Belgium), it was summertime and my neighbour installed a small pool in his garden on the lawn (about 140cm high), it was august and really hot. I woke up the next afternoon in my bed without any memory and couldnt get out of my bed by any means. Took me 1.5h just to crawl from my bed to the bathroom. Later i found out i was standing on the pooles side and jumped, but not in the pool, but outside, on the lawn !! Had 3 brused ribs and 2.5 years later if i sneeze i still can feel which ribs where brused. Absynth does something special with your brain, maybe similar as some other drug, but i never tried even soft-drugs !! Maybe in Pattaya they drink it a lot as their are regulary people jumping of things much higher then 140 cm. I prefere to drink 36 anchors then a bottle of absinth !!

Thanks to bring up this topic, it remind me when I was reading Ernest Hemingway novels, when life was more simple.
