CDC to approve two major investment projects in Sihanoukville
Including a 2,870 room hotel. How exactly are they trying to fill it?

Wouldn't it be great if they could put a condition on those deals that they complete some of the other abandoned projects & clean up the skyline, or just require they demolish existing abandoned projects & build on those sites...
Or they could just let these go unfinished also. Decisions, decisions.

Mainland chinese thinking is the skyline is someone else’s problem. Same with abandoned projects.Spigzy wrote:Wouldn't it be great if they could put a condition on those deals that they complete some of the other abandoned projects & clean up the skyline, or just require they demolish existing abandoned projects & build on those sites...

Or just a cautionary tale.
Money could be gone tomorrow, must extract maximum value (aka through pig butchering operations) now.
Cambodian is so economically closely tied to mainland China. Many Khmer are struggling that missus knows about.
Meanwhile, the economy is (so far) chugging along in many western nations.
