Re: Moonlight snacking
Great food? It is OK, very run-of-the-mill food.Fridaywithmateo wrote: ↑Thu Jan 18, 2024 12:19 pmLarry's is the bomb ... owner Mr Larry is a wizard in the kitchen ... if you want great meals ... go ... not cheap, but damn good!!!Doc67 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 18, 2024 8:34 amOn Riverside the only two places I know that are reliably open past 10pm and they are Oskar, between 110 and 118 but that's a bit pricey and Bgari (opposite Metro) street 148, which opens until at least 11 and sometimes even later if they are busy, although after 11pm it is slim pickings in these parts.
Larry's (110 and 5) is open until 10.30 and, I think, maybe even to 11 on the weekends. Others may know for certain.
There is a burger stall opposite Pontoon on street 172 and 51 (ground zero) but good luck down there after 11pm.

As long as someone isn’t walking around sloppy drunk with $1000 in their pocket, and going to ST rooms with meth heads, they should be just fine in that area. It’s grungy, but I’ve never encountered any trouble around there.
That burger stall makes pretty good food for the price, if you ask me.

Nah ... Mr Larry is a salty old soul ... from Santa Cruz California area ... my backyard too ... gotta catch him on a good day ... he always has a secret menu that only regulars know about ... but he is a sweet heart ... just ask him and he'll offer his magic menu upon request. #protiphanno wrote: ↑Thu Jan 18, 2024 4:05 pmGreat food? Cafe Wine O'Clock in TTP is open 24 hours (for delivery as well). It's similar to an American Diner in many ways. Not the healthiest stuff, but fairly tasty. Fair warning, the prices are a bit high, but that's what you expect if you want to have a goddamned greek omelet delivered to you at 3am.

Re: Moonlight snacking
This is one area where PP is sadly lacking, late-night dining. It's extremely limited. All of the Riverside cafés close, as does 172. Sure, you'll find khmer street food or a few dodgy burger places but there isn't much else.

It's always been like that in those extremely limited areas. Meanwhile lots of places are busy late at night outside the tiny Daun Penh district.
Silence, exile, and cunning.
