Man Arrested in Cambodia for Threatening People with 'IPHONE GUN'
Cambodia News (Battambang): On January 11, 2024, Battambang City Police, led by Inspector Colonel Pich Saren, transferred a 43-year-old male suspect named Samlith, residing in Dangkor Teap Village, Sangkat Toul Ta Ek, Battambang City, to the Commission for punishment according to the law for threating people with a gun that looks like an iPhone. This operation was conducted under the guidance of Major General Sat Kimsan, Commissioner of Battambang Provincial Police, and Brigadier General Lim Puthyla, Deputy Commissioner of Criminal Police, following a complaint from the victim, Be Camrin, a 33-year-old male resident of Damnak Luong Village, Wat Kor Sangkat, Battambang City, Battambang Province. The complaint alleged a case of threatening and unlawful possession of weapons that occurred on Jauary 9, 2024 at 9:00 PM in Group 7, Damnak Luong village, Watkor commune, Battambang City, Battambang Province. It was reported that the suspect used a weapon to threaten the victim's life.
Subsequently, the police arrested the suspect and brought him to the Battambang City Police Inspectorate for questioning. During the investigation, the suspect admitted to removing the iPhone-looking gun from his pocket due to anger caused by the victim's loud drinking.
Various items were confiscated, including an unidentified gun resembling an iPhone (Model number Ideal Conceal IC380), 6 bullets, 1 helmet, 1 gold Oppo phone, one black cloth bullet casing, and a black Yamaha Sirius motorcycle with license plate number 17-3550 (model year unknown). The unusual nature of the IC380 weapon, designed to resemble a modern mobile phone (iPhone in a case) makes it difficult to identify as a weapon unless it is being used.
The suspects and exhibits have been transferred to the provincial court for legal action.
This 'IPHONE GUN' appears to be from a company called 'Ideal Conceal,' that was designed by an entrepreneur named Kirk Kjellberg. The gun's slogan is 'Carry with confidence, conceal in style' and retails for about $400 in the US.

Great assassin gun as others have alluded to. Deep concealment, passes superficial pat downs. Probably not metal or x-ray machines. At can’t miss range, gives two shots which could be lethal.
Lousy criminal gun. Criminals want people to know they have guns and use it as a threaten. The bigger and more obvious the better.
Also poor conceal carry firearm. Ideal conceal carry is pull out for instant use, as in someone is about to kill you or your loved one. This thing requires transforming in order to use. And doesn’t have enough rounds to stop the attacker. Only 2 shots before reloading.

Lol, I can see the headlines now...
Man shoots himself in the head trying to answer the phone.

I would never want to use something like that. Give the police another reason to shoot. A phone should look like a phone. That is asking for trouble in my opinion.
Manhattan keeps on making it, Brooklyn keeps on taking it

It does seem like a recipe for disaster if those things become commonplace. How's a cop supposed to know if you're trying to film him, or shoot him?
