Banks & TIN

Hi All,

I tried asking this elsewhere but think it was too convoluted.

1. Which are the best int'l banks to bank with outside Cambodia & where, e.g. Citibank in Singapore?
2. Most int'l banks insist you provide a TIN to open an account. Is this necessary & if so, how do you get one in Cambodia?

Appreciate advice from you guys who've been down this road already.

Pretty sure when I opened a Standard Bank IOM account (thought the financial advisor I already use in Phnom Penh) it was just my Visa number that was on the form. You don't really get a personal TIN in Cambodia.

Thanks Bluenose. I called Standard Bank in IOM. They were helpful on the phone but failed to email me the paperwork promissed, leaving me dissappointed.

Be interesting to see if anyone else chips in with suggestions... 🤞
