I’ve been listening today to a few British based radio stations like Greatest Hits and Smooth,they’ve been playing Shane McGowan and The Pogues songs all day.

I couldn’t remember what the first song of his was that I heard way back in the eighties and they didn’t play it but it’s the above with The Dubliners!

Of course inevitably with Christmas being so near they’ve been playing his most famous song so here it is and R.I.P. Shane a true Irish poet :

I hope he is enjoying his Summer in Siam. Sometimes I re-watch the scene in the movie, Basquiat, featuring that wonderful song. Just for kicks.
