Sihanouville Travel Destination - Is it worth Visiting ?

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

The sunset might look the same. Nothing else does. That's where the pro/con arguments begin. Based on my previous statements you can probably guess where I come down. Nuff said.

That's true, however, the same can be said for Phnom Penh and Kampot.

As it happens I only planned to see Angkor Wat on a quick 2-3 stint from Bangkok where I was on holiday back in 2005. As it turns out I could only get in via Phnom Penh & take the fast boat up through the lake as all BKK<>SR flights were sold out. Ended up seeing way more of the country & decided to emigrate to Cambodia as a consequence.

Well you fucked up. Vietnam is still worth a go but it was better 10 years ago. Seriously how can you live so close and not make it over the border once? It's not exactly distant or difficult.

Used to love the BBQ squid and cold cans on Occateul Beach. How much do they cost now?

Probably not much more than on your previous visit. For example at Khin's Shack prices are pretty same as six years ago. $1 for can of beer and seafood BBQ platter is around $7.
