Death Island- Koh Tao
Re: Death Island- Koh Tao
Koh Tao has nothing on Kampot.
More deaths with a fraction of the western population.

Re: Death Island- Koh Tao
Perhaps, but I don't recall hearing about any murders of foreigners in Kampot.
Most of the deaths seem to be elderly expats passing on followed unfortunately by motorbike crashes, possibly alcohol/drug-related deaths and the occasional suicide.
What have you heard?

but at least I'm enjoying the ride.

Re: Death Island- Koh Tao
I heard that some people are disenfranchised and feel disconnected with life and therefore believe there are unknown hands running everyones lives. They are prone to believe any conspiracy theories as it gives them a reason to understand why they feel the way they do.sigmoid wrote: ↑Wed Nov 15, 2023 11:42 amPerhaps, but I don't recall hearing about any murders of foreigners in Kampot.

But to answer your question; if some of these deaths in Koh Tao were put down as suicides or alcohol related would you believe them?
Of course not.
Re: Death Island- Koh Tao
anyone in kampot to have heard stories about an unsolved serial killer case there? Is it urban legend or maybe there are some links to articles? Story I heard was that foreign women on white bicycles would be the victims on the other side of the river from downtown. Supposedly a Belgian hostel owner was suspected but left the country without getting charged.
Probably better for kampot section.

There was one murder some 10 years ago. Hardly a serial killer. Police were quick to blame a barang but, released him after a year and a half as there was zero evidence towards him.finn wrote: ↑Thu Nov 16, 2023 1:26 pm anyone in kampot to have heard stories about an unsolved serial killer case there?
