Eyewitnesses reported that the Starex was being driven at high speed along Sothearos Road from the north when it swerved and collided with a rock barrier, causing the road to split and a wheel to break. The impact also resulted in severe damage to the front of the car.

Following the accident, authorities from the Tonle Bassac Sangkat Administrative Police Station inspected the scene. Subsequently, they contacted the municipal traffic officer to measure and record the scene in preparation to lift the car, awaiting the arrival of the owner to address the matter.
