Cambodia News: In a recent incident took place on November 6, 2023, at 11:20 pm, in Sangkat Phnom Penh Thmey, Khan Sen Sok, a Chinese man riding a motorbike was ran into by another motorcycle, causing him to topple. The victim's phone was snatched by the culprits who were riding a black Honda Dream 2023 series motorcycle with license plate Phnom Penh 1IF-6062. However, thanks to the quick response of the local villagers, one suspect was apprehended and handed over to the authorities while the other managed to flee the scene.

The suspect who was captured and handed over to the police has been identified as Chetra, a 16-year-old male residing in Tuol Sangke. The escaped accomplice, known by the nickname "Ado," still remains at large. According to witness statements, prior to the incident, the Chinese man had given a ride to the suspect from Chip Mong Borey on Mong Rithy Street. They were traveling along 1956 Road when the two suspects on the Honda Dream motorcycle approached from behind, snatched the victim's phone, and caused the collision by grabbing the Chinese man's handlebars.

Upon witnessing the incident, both the Chinese man and bystanders sprung into action, managing to apprehend one suspect while the other fled with the stolen phone. The apprehended suspect, Chetra, has confessed to being involved in two similar incidents in the Sen Sok district. He has since been taken into custody by the Sen Sok District Police Inspectorate for further interrogation and to assist in the search for the escaped accomplice. Both culprits will face appropriate legal consequences for their actions.
