PhD in IIC University of Technology

Post by amea »

Hello everyone,

I hope this message finds you well. I'm new here and have recently relocated to join an INGO. I'm very interested in pursuing a PhD, and I've heard that some of my colleagues are already studying at IIC. I was wondering about the accreditation of the PhD program at IIC. Since I'm new to this environment, I'm not entirely sure about the specifics.

I've received mixed information, with some people mentioning that the PhD program requires a specific approval (Prakas) from MOEYS. Unfortunately, I couldn't find sufficient information, and I don't speak Khmer, which makes it more challenging for me to gather details. If anyone has any knowledge or could provide contacts at MOEYS that could assist me, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time and assistance.

Warm regards,
Amea

Well hello there fellow PhD student :)

I am an American PhD student that has already completed half a degree in the USA. I have an online program, so I decided why not move to an economical place while I finish my credentials :) If you are an American, you can use student loans to pay for your online school and just move on down to Cambodia while attending online. The leftover student loan money goes really far down here, so I think the economics will work out well. I'm sure whatever mainstream schools are down here will be accepted back in the US. I know there is a global accrediting agency that makes student transcripts portable between countries. Let me know how your doing and what progress you're making. I'm studying Technology and will be looking to use the college libraries in PP.
