30 Foreign nationals arrested in anti-pornography sting

Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

Pornography is illegal in Thailand too.
Silence, exile, and cunning.

Yeah, but here, John, it's "strictly" illegal. Consider yourself "reminded"!

Seeing as the government there is now trying to legalise both prostitution (which at one point contributed as much as 12% of national GDP to Thailand's economy) and gay marriage (as well as give legal status to the transgendered) I would imagine that the law is hardly enforced if at all.

Cambodia may be trying to put out an international contaigon and societal conflagration with a sieved bucket, but at least they are trying to do the right thing, rather than going down the path of further Westernisation like Siem is.

Yeah, yeah, trash the West, the rest is the best, we know.

I assume when you say "Cambodia" you refer to a very small and powerful community of Cambodians. Or do you really see this place a morally homogenous social monolith? These guys will be out of handcuffs tomorrow, this time equipped with the right connection to bribe. It's hard not to think from your posts that you just see Cambodia as what you want it to be. Although many on this forum are guilty of that...

Arguably, successful ones too- 1.4billion and counting
Counting? The population of China is declining.
Unless they were crafted from clay, there is a part of the process that at least a few generations were successful with. plus-Isn't their birth rate still in excess of their death rate?
Anyhoo, tongue in cheek comment.

With regards to this one point it is well documented, by people such as Peter Zeihan, that China has had serious demographic issues for some time and, the pigeons, as they say, are coming home to roost.
The following clip starts at the point where Tony discusses the most recent data coming out of China regarding marriages and birthrate. I have always found this guy to be balanced and he presents the facts with little to no opinion or bias.
